Where's the bright sun light coming from that would explain a bright high contrast image like that? The 'quality' you are talking about is the same kind of 'quality' that you get from an LCD TV set to Dynamic mode - attracts your attention on the shop floor, but doesn't give a natural image you can live with in your living room. But I guess it's something some would like. The gamma control can to some degree accentuate contrast, but it's values below 1.0 that do that, not ones above 1.0.
